My name is Kathleen Harbin and I have taught middle school for fifteen years with great enjoyment. I also taught high school for seven years teaching students creative and expository writing. I especially love teaching sixth grade students in Falcon 101 because it is such an important year for them and I want to be able to help them with this transition. I am excited to be teaching students organization and study skills along with career and college exploration, and growing their character in character education in small group learning activities with lots of student participation.
I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I then attended the University of Oklahoma continuing on to get my English and teaching degree from the University of Texas at Pan American. I also earned my Master's degree in Education Administration and Leadership.
I am thrilled to be a part of the Huffman Middle School community and I am looking forward to having a terrific 2018-2019 school year with your student!
