I have the best job in the world teaching Theatre Arts, Theatre Production, and Yearbook to some of the most creative and talented kids. This year is going to be our best one yet!
Originally from Louisiana, and still a huge LSU Tiger fan, I found myself teaching in Huffman years ago. My husband and I met here in 1991 and married in 1992. We left for 7 years, and then returned in 2000 with our three children who have spent their K - 12 educational careers here in Huffman ISD. Our oldest daughter Brittany graduated in May, 2016, from Texas A&M. Alexis, our middle child, is a junior at Stephen F. Austin. Our son Jonathan will be joining Alexis at SFASU this year with 15 hours of college already, as he took dual credit and AP classes in high school. My husband and I are extremely proud of them all.
I love to read, bake, take pictures, and am addicted to Pinterest and HGTV. In my defense, most of what I am seeing on the computer or renovation shows, I'll use for class ideas or set design for Theatre. Life is so good!
The pictures to the bottom right are of the 2015 graduation ceremony. I got to teach the majority of those graduates. I have big dreams and high expectations for them. Now, I extend those same dreams and expectations for you, too. With GRIT and determination, I know YOU can reach your goals.
My question to you is... On your graduation night, where will you be sitting?
